Smile and Hope Project
Implemented in Omoro District, supporting people living with nodding syndrome through dance and play therapy. Created spaces for expression, interaction, joy, and healing.
In Omoro District, The Elephants met communities living with nodding syndrome — and brought something they needed more than medicine: joy. Through dance and play therapy, the Smile and Hope Project created safe spaces for expression, interaction, and healing. This initiative provided psychosocial support and restored dignity to some of the most vulnerable members of our community, leaving a lasting mark on both participants and volunteers.
